Also - is it obvious from a distance that it's a gathering of sci fi fans ?!?! Very Happy

The club meets the first Tuesdy of every month at the new above mentioned location. We will be in a private space upstairs (though this month we "might" be downstairs as the pub rearranges schedules...check upstairs first)

There is an event/speaker each meeting that will last from 30 minutes to an hour. This month the topic is on play and gaming and its relations to SF and SF fans. Next month is a team quiz night, and the April topic is awaiting speaker confirmation.

Before and after the event there is general socializing with fellow fans of the genre. Talk about books, TV, movies, etc. etc....often at the meeting is when the unofficial cinema going committe announces the next movie outing.

Does it look like a bunch of scifi fans?? do you want it to...arrangements could be made Smile ....I'd have to say no. The demographics of the group runs from early 20's to early 40's and includes all walks of life students to solicitors, government employees to gadflys, neuro-scientists to new agers, teachers to techies..everyone is welcome under the Big Top circus of SF fandom.

Hope that helps, and hope to see you there.
