Once more I'm asking for your help...looking for reading material Very Happy

I'm going on holidays soon, and it looks like it could be a "sitting around reading" sort of holiday, so I figure I'll catch up on some sci-fi.

Some of you may-or-may-not have heard that I'm doing a thesis on science and sci-fi, so I figure I might as well read some stuff that I can make reference to

So my question is this: Can you recommend any good books that are cautionary tales about science or examine a particular issue in science (nanotech, cloning, etc etc)?
