Worldcon rates go up on December 1Interaction, the 63rd World Science Fiction Convention, which will take place in Glasgow Scotland over the weekend of August 4-8, 2005, is increasing its attending membership rate to 145 euro as of December 1 2003. The current attending rate is 135 euro. The supporting rate of 45 euro and the child (15 or under during the convention) rate of 50 euro will remain unchanged. The new rates only apply to new members joining or converting from supporting to attending on or after December 1 2003. Those who have already joined the convention on the installment plan are unaffected.

Anyone who wishes to purchase an attending membership or convert their supporting membership should contact the convention either through its Website ( ) or its Irish agent David Stewart ( ). Existing supporting members who declare their intention to join the installment plan by 30 November will have their rate frozen at 135 euro.

Interaction is also ending its presupporter discount worth 20 euro from December 1.

Interaction will take place in Glasgow from August 4 to August 8 2005 in the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre, Glasgow. Guests of Honour are: Christopher Priest, Robert Sheckley, Jane Yolen, Greg Pickersgill and Lars-Olov Strandberg.
