Phoenix Convention hosts Charity Auction
Wed 8th Mar 2006
Phoenix Convention, which takes place in Dublin this weekend, will include a charity auction in aid of the Oesophageal Cancer Fund. This is particularly appropriate, as a much loved Dublin fan is currently battling this form of cancer. We all wish him a speedy and full recovery.
Warner Brothers have donated some tickets for the preview screening of V for Vendetta to the auction. Other donations original artwork from some of Ireland’s leading comics artists, numerous signed books from the attending authors, as well as books form some writers who were not able to attend, like Kim Newman and Ian Watson, and original dust jackets from the first editions of Terry Pratchett’s The Colour of Magic and The Light Fantastic.
Phoenix Convention, will take place in the Ashling Hotel, Parkgate St, Dublin 8 on the 11th and 12th of March, 2006.
